In the 6 years since their formation, The Sam Willows have come a long way in solidifying themselves as a force to be reckoned with, not just in Singapore, but around the globe as well – having performed at internationally renowned festivals such as Summer Sonic in Tokyo last year and being a part of the lineup for this year’s We The Fest in Jakarta (just to name a few). Now, the multi-award winning and Platinum certified pop quartet are all set to mark another milestone in their career with the release of their latest sophomore album – I Know, But Where!

The band kicked off this album’s cycle with the initial release of four lead singles (‘Keep Me Jealous’, ‘Save Myself’, ‘Papa Money’ and ‘Robot’), which have all collectively garnered more than 10 million streams online since their releases and went on to acquire the GOLD certification each, setting the tone for this latest album.

I Know, But Where represents this present generation in all its glory: each track specifically elaborates on the varying degrees of perplexity that comes along with growing up in the world we universally live in today – with the title itself being a playful take on the millennial trope. Member Benjamin Kheng further explains: “These days, it kinda feels like everybody, including us, is going through some form of quarterlife crisis or crippling anxiety, and trying to fight for or out of bad relationships. We had to write about all of them. We all feel like we know things, but we don’t quite know where we’re going ourselves. Hence, the title. Our previous album was very idealistic and we wanted to push ourselves into some gray areas musically and thematically. But above all, we just wanted to be unapologetic about the music we love, and know that this is going to reach some people the right way.”

Coming off the success of their previous debut album Take Heart (which contains multi-platinum singles), the band decisively set out to put together a follow-up album that showcased them pushing the boundaries for not just themselves, but for their fans around the world as well.

The Sam Willows worked with notable producers Fredrik Häggstam (The Chainsmokers), Harry Sommerdahl (The Wanted), Gavin Jones (Pixie Lott), Litens Anton Nilsson (Icona Pop) and Lina Hansson (Violet Days) on this album.

‘I Know, But Where’ contains a total of 11 tracks and will be released everywhere on 6th July 2018.
